UK port container collections and devanning
Container devanning means unloading the cargo from a shipping container. It is a separate stage from collecting the container at the port. Tell us whether the cargo is on pallets, in individual bags or in big bags, so we can assess the unloading and onward handling requirements.
For a UK port collection enquiry, include the port or terminal, expected availability date, container type and cargo details. Let us know whether the goods need to move straight to the delivery site or first to a suitable warehouse for unloading and storage. Any required empty-container return can be included in the route assessment.
Polymer debagging and silo tanker loading
Debagging is the removal of material from its bags for transfer into a bulk-handling system. For packaged polymers, plastic granules and suitable powders, a bag-to-bulk arrangement may connect a palletised arrival with onward delivery by silo tanker. The material, packaging, transfer equipment and receiving site must be assessed together.
Include the product grade, bag or big-bag weight, total quantity and any handling or contamination-control requirements. If the customer receives material into a silo, provide the discharge requirements as well. Our polymer transport page covers PET, PVC, PE and PP enquiries, while the silo tanker transport guide explains the related bulk-delivery options.
Pallet storage and curtainsider distribution
A pallet storage enquiry should include the number and dimensions of the pallets, their weight, whether stacking is permitted, and the expected storage period. Add the planned arrival and dispatch dates, plus any product-specific storage requirements. These details help us review a suitable facility and handling arrangement with the relevant partner.
For goods staying in packaged form, curtainsider transport can connect collection, warehousing and delivery across the UK and Europe. Tell us whether you need a single collection, recurring deliveries or a combination of storage and dispatch. If the wider movement involves Belgium and the UK, see our Belgium–UK logistics guide.
